Every rep.
Every game.
Coached in real time.
FilmRoom turns basketball training and game footage into real‑time coaching feedback — positioning, decision making, shot selection, and execution. From solo drills to live games, on the camera already in your pocket.
The problem
Video exists everywhere.
Feedback doesn't.
Players train blind
Most players only get elite coaching for short windows — camps, clinics, a few weeks a year. Outside those sessions, they train alone with no feedback on what's actually breaking down.
Coaches can't scale
Reviewing hours of video manually, for every player, after every session? It doesn't scale. Feedback arrives hours or days late — if it arrives at all.
Training ≠ game day
A drill looks clean in practice, then falls apart under pressure. The gap between training and competition is invisible without the data to connect them.
500M+ basketball players worldwide. The footage already exists at every level. What's missing is the system that turns it into coaching.
How it works
From raw footage to real‑time feedback
FilmRoom embeds elite‑level analysis into the camera already in everyone's pocket. No coaching certifications, no expensive hardware — just footage and a phone.
Capture
Film individual drills, team practices, or live games from any phone, tablet, or sideline camera. No special equipment.
Analyze
Computer vision and game context evaluate positioning, decision making, shot selection, and execution — frame by frame, play by play.
Coach
Players and coaches receive feedback directly on their phone — during workouts, between quarters, or at halftime. Specific adjustments, not generic tips.
What FilmRoom does
Elite-level analysis, in your pocket
Not another highlight reel app. FilmRoom is a coaching tool that helps players and teams understand why performance changes between the gym and the game — and exactly what to adjust.
Training ↔ Game Comparison
FilmRoom compares what a player does in training versus competition — pinpointing exactly where performance deviates and why.
Real-Time Feedback
Coaching cues delivered to your phone during workouts, between quarters, and at halftime — not hours or days later.
Positioning & Decisions
Beyond mechanics. Evaluates spacing, timing, shot selection, and decision making using full game context.
Drills, Practices, Games
Works on individual training, team practices, and live game footage. Same platform, three settings.
Execution Breakdown
A practiced play breaks down in-game? FilmRoom shows whether it's spacing, timing, or a read — and suggests the fix.
Every Level
Designed for individual athletes, youth teams, college programs, and professional organizations. Elite analysis, accessible pricing.
Launching first · V1
Start with the shot
FilmRoom's first release focuses on shooting analysis — the skill with the clearest signal, the most reps, and the biggest gap between training form and game form. It's the foundation for everything that comes next.
Personal baselines
FilmRoom learns what YOUR shot looks like when it goes in — and flags deviations from your own proven best, not textbook mechanics.
26-point body tracking
Real-time pose estimation tracks shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles — every frame, every shot.
Make / miss detection
Ball and rim tracking automatically labels every attempt. No manual tagging, no spreadsheets.
Shot-by-shot metrics
Elbow angle, knee bend, release height, follow-through — quantified on every rep, with adaptive feedback to your skill level.
After V1, FilmRoom expands to finishing, ball-handling, defense, team sets, and full game analysis.
Long-term vision
Beyond basketball
We're starting with basketball because it's the sport we know best and the one where the gap between training and competition is most visible. But the underlying technology generalizes to any sport or skill where a camera can observe human movement.
Soccer footwork. Tennis serves. Swimming strokes. Olympic lifting. Physical therapy. Anywhere a phone can watch, FilmRoom can coach.
The founder
Onome Akinbode-James
Founder & CEO
4-year starter on Duke's D1 women's basketball team while double-majoring in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science. After stepping away from pursuing a professional sports career, coached 100+ players across the US and Nigeria while building production-grade AI systems at Microsoft.
FilmRoom comes from lived experience on both sides — as a player who trained without feedback between coaching windows, and as a coach who couldn't scale individualized development to 40 players across two continents. The technology gap was obvious; the mission was personal.
